Oh, Amy!
Amy Winehouse provides the narration for the documentary, “Amy,” a film about her life and ultimately her death.
Amy Winehouse was brilliant. And while her time was cut short by her untimely death, we all still find a little joy in her hit-single “Rehab.” Maybe she shouldn’t have said no. Maybe she should’ve said yes, but she didn’t.
It seems that the life and times of Amy Winehouse will live on forever not just in her music, but in a biographical documentary titled none other than “Amy.” Directed by Asif Kapida, the film will be narrated by Winehouse herself, which is creepy and haunting, but it’s probably exactly how she would have wanted it — her music was never meant to be comfortable, it was dramatic and dark.
Set for a July 3rd release in the UK, “Amy” with chart the life of the singer from childhood to death. It will delve into her public bouts with depression, and even her bulimia.
