Stefanie Cochrane
Goodwill
21 S. Broadway
Why Go: Hoards and hoards of clothing and accessories for women, men, and yo’ kids. Plus housewares and books. Put aside an afternoon to really give this place a good comb through — you could end up curating a whole new wardrobe.
Look For: Alright, I don’t mean to brag, so I’ll just say I found a sick-ass motorcycle jacket for $15 and it’s way BETTER THAN YOURS! I’m kidding about this last part, but if you can keep an eye out for the normally higher priced and quality items hidden here like leathers, name brands, etc., you’ll be hauling your load home on cloud nine.
Deja Blue Boutique
303 University Blvd.
Why Go: Deja Blue is another Goodwill outpost located in Cherry Creek. The store is a lot smaller than its big sister, but is also much more organized and prides itself on offering more name-brand items and higher quality pieces. It’s ever-so-slightly more expensive than its counterpart, but for many, the ease of browsing these racks is worth a little more.
Look For: Great selection of business casual clothing for men and women. Think: Banana Republic, Nordstrom brands, etc. Also: SHOES! The selection rotates daily so check back often.
ARC Thrift
255 S. Hooker / 1515 S. Broadway / 7485 East Iliff
Why Go: With three area locations, you’ve probably passed ARC and didn’t give it a second thought. However, go here and be somewhat amazed by A) all the sh*t humans go through and B) all the cool new stuff you can have! Similar to Goodwill, ARC has tons of things to sift through, but it’s worthy of an entire Saturday.
Look For: ARC has clothing and accessories for all. Check out the sportswear sections for nice outdoor goods; North Face, Mountain Hardware, the list goes on. ARC is also a great stop for vintage dress clothes for your next fancy soiree! Shop suit jackets and sequin dresses to your heart’s delight.
Buffalo Exchange
51 S. Broadway /
226 E. 13th
Why Go: Firstly, Buff Exchange is a resale shop so you can constantly revamp your closet with their clothing for cash or store credit policy. There’s a huge mix of clothing for men and women with styles and prices that everyone can get into.
Look For: It’s all good, pretty babies. There’s a lot of funky and unique finds to be found. We have a special soft spot for their vintage graphic tees, jewelry, and party-clothes options. Come here if you want to wear something nobody else will have.
Babareeba!
3629 W. 32nd
Why Go: Sorry fellas, this store is for high-class, sexy, boss ladies only! Read: Any woman who wants to keep her style fresh. There is a good mix of high end and vintage pieces at good prices. The Highland’s shop also holds fairly amazing sales often and has consignment available so you can keep that budget in check.
Look For: Great selection of all kinds of jeans — styles, washes, prices, and fits for everyone! Gently used handbags (Marc Jacobs satchelzzzz!) and shoes at a lot less than retail price.
