WATCH: Trans woman dominating The Voice UK
Jordan Gray, a transgender recording artist currently competing on The Voice UK, is setting herself to be the first trans woman to snatch the Voice crown.
Sure, none of the judges turned for her when she auditioned, but a mysterious dropout on Paloma Faith’s team opened the door for one of the former contestants to come back. She chose Jordan who beautifully covered Just Like a Woman by Bob Dylan, to return to the competition.
It’s a good thing she did, because Jordan went on to slay it in the battle rounds, singing This Woman’s Work by Kate Bush alongside Theo Llewellyn and knocking him out of the competition.
Paloma also advanced her through the knockout rounds, making her one of three people left on Paloma’s team, and into the top 12. This was no shocker, as her performance of Real Gone Kid by Deacon Blue was on point, and had all four judges (or anyone who watches it) grinning from ear to ear.
