10th Circuit Court
One Colorado and Why Marriage Matters Colorado hosted a rally in Civic Center Park on June 25 in celebration of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that gay couples have the constitutional right to marry. The three judge panel in Denver ruled 2-1, that states cannot deprive people of the fundamental right to marry because they choose a same-sex partner. The decision upheld a lower court’s ruling that struck down the gay marriage ban in Utah. The case is expected to be appealed to the United States Supreme Court.
