Rainbow Dome Kicks Off Pride Month with Oh My Stars!
The month of May is reaching its end, meaning Pride Month is right around the corner. LGBTQ folks and allies are gearing up to celebrate Pride, and Rainbow Dome is no exception.
Rainbow Dome is launching its monthly skate date, starting June 10, called Oh My Stars! The project is known for merging visual and experiential art with rollerskating. Their signature event, Oh My Stars!, does just that and more by providing free skate rentals, art installations, a photo booth, exclusive queer merchandise, and entertainment from local DJs and special pop-up performances.
Oh My Stars! is a monthly event, so there are seven more skate date events left in this year if you can’t make it in June. The upcoming skate date is not only Rainbow Dome’s Pride event, but it also has an astrology angle, too. In fact, all the Oh My Stars! skate dates are themed after a zodiac sign. The June Pride event will be themed after Gemini( since it is Gemini season, after all).
While the event is a great opportunity to celebrate Pride, Oh My Stars! is also sober-friendly and family-friendly, so all the more people can enjoy the night. Rainbow Dome commits to ensuring all its guests can join them by continuing to require proof of vaccination and that all guests to wear face coverings at all times while at Rollerdome. These requirements allow for the space and safety for all their immunocompromised guests to join the fun.
The Oh My Stars! skate dates will take place at Rollerdome from 3 to 10 p.m. on the second Friday of every month. You can get your tickets at the door for $10 with tax before 5 p.m. or $15 with tax after 5 p.m.
