It looks like the ballroom has officially re-opened, so it is time to dust off that disco ball and get ready for Season Three of everyone’s favorite, Pose.
Production on the third season of FX’s Emmy-winning, ballroom series Pose was halted back in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Several film and TV shoots, as well as all Broadway theaters, shut down in New York City, bringing the entertainment industry to a halt. However, judging from social media, it looks like the cast and crew are once again gathering to make some magic.
“When production paused, I wasn’t shocked,” star Indya Moore told Variety. “It knew it would happen, but it was a bittersweet moment for me. On the one hand, if anyone had gotten sick, it surely would have spread fast. On the other hand, most folks working on a production are living paycheck to paycheck. So, I was worried about how they are going to survive.”
Pose co-creator and executive producer Steven Canals posted a picture on Monday, October 5 showing himself and series director Janet Mock masked up on set in the Bronx.
“Here we go again!” Canals wrote, with Mock adding in the comments: “Back at it!!!”
It also looks like the crew were given some celebratory treats, including Pose cookies and tote bags.
Moore posted a pic of her reflection in a makeup mirror to Instagram, captioning the post, “She’s back.”

And Ryan Jamaal Swain, who plays Damon, uploaded a video of himself dressed in a Pose hoodie writing, “Y’all ready.”

Since Pose has just now started filming again, it will probably be a while before we see any new episodes, or any crowded ballroom scenes, thanks to COVID-19. Still, we can definitely get excited for what’s to come.
