OFM Gallery: Water From Your Eyes and Friko at Hi Dive

OFM had the chance to see Water From Your Eyes with support from Friko at Hi-Dive on 5/10/23. Combining experimental pop and alternative rock, Water From Your Eyes delivered a high-energy performance with an impressive range of songs that kept the crowd on their feet. The Brooklyn based trio is made up members Rachel Brown, Nate Amos, Al Nardo, and Bailey Wollowitz and has released four albums since 2021 titled Structure (2021), Structure Demos (2022), Everyone’s Crushed (2023), Crushed By Everyone (2023).

Formed in Chicago in 2019, Friko consists of member Niko Kapetan, Luke Stamos and Bailey Minzenberger. They can be best described as alternative indie rock and have been on the rise since releasing their first album Burnout Beautiful (2019), their EP Whenever Forever (2022), and their most recent album Where We’ve Been, Where We Go From Here (2024). Friko complimented Water From Your Eyes performance perfectly, setting the tone for the night whilst adding another memorable performance to the Denver music scene.
