After years of trying to grow their family, NSYNC alum Lance Bass and his husband, Michael Turchin, have officially announced that they are soon-to-be parents.
They will welcome twins this fall, one boy and one girl, via surrogacy.
The couple, who have been married since 2014, confirmed the news Tuesday in an exclusive, Q & A interview with People Magazine. Bass also shared on the same day a not-so-subtle horror movie trailer on TikTok where he and Turchin discover two mysterious buns in their oven.

Bass told the outlet they opted for the horror-themed trailer since the twins are due in early November, right around Halloween.
“I need them to get here before Halloween, because I need them to be Halloween babies,” he joked. “They have no choice but to love Halloween because I’m obsessed, and they’re going to be obsessed.
People also learned that the road to parenthood has been quite a journey for Bass and Turchin, referring to years of surrogacy attempts, failed IVF treatments, and a miscarriage. They have gone through at least nine different egg donors.
“When we went into IVF and surrogacy, we had no idea what it was all about,” Bass said. “Pretty much everyone we’ve known had bad luck at the beginning. The first time they tried it, it just did not work, and I feel like that is such a common thing. And it’s great that we’re able to talk about this because a lot of times, I would believe that couples feel very alone in that situation. But to know that other people are going through the same exact thing, it’s really comforting.”
After the miscarriage occurred in March 2020, the couple were once again sent back to square one. They credit their actor friend Taylor Frey with turning them on to their current surrogate and egg donor.
