The era of shrooms is here! Founder of CBD company Privy Peach, Kim Koehler, has launched a new company focusing on the benefits of mushrooms. In July of 2021, Sun and Psilo made its debut. Koehler has created quite the stir with her women-run businesses catching the eye of Forbes, where she was recently listed as a Forbes top entrepreneurs to watch.
Sun and Psilo currently are working with the most beneficial nootropic mushrooms by creating palatable tinctures, along with capsules, and soon, gummies will be on the way. The supplemental mushrooms included are lion’s mane, chaga, and cordyceps. Lion’s Mane is found to reduce mild symptoms of anxiety and depression and has strong immunity boosting and anti-inflammatory abilities.
Chaga is rich with essential nutrients and is believed to help aid in digestion and gut support. Cordyceps are used for lung support and energy boosting. Their company also offers personal coaching sessions for those that would like to dabble in microdosing magic mushrooms. This offer is only available to cities and countries where shrooms are decriminalized, of course.
Koehler says, “Microdosing magic mushrooms has completely changed my life. Under a doctor’s supervision, I have been able to get off of all of my pharmaceuticals that I have been on for a decade. I cannot wait for the day psilocybin is fully legalized in the entire United States. I believe it will be even bigger than cannabis, but for now, this is the next best thing. Lion’s mane mushroom is the most promising, non-psychoactive mushroom, which is a nootropic. The studies on the cognitive benefits of lion’s mane mushrooms are phenomenal, and when taken in conjunction with psilocybin mushrooms, it’s the perfect pair.”
Several countries including the Bahamas, Spain, and Canada have already legalized or decriminalized consumption of magic mushrooms. Back in May of 2019, Denver passed a ballot that measured the decriminalization of psilocybin mushrooms.
Other cities that have followed suit in the decriminalization of psilocybin mushrooms are Oakland and Santa Cruz, CA, Ann Arbor, MI, Washington D.C., and Somerville and Cambridge, MA. Oregon also has decriminalized the consumption of shrooms as well, and also legalized them for mental health treatments in a supervised setting since February, 2021.
Sun and Psilio revealed that future endeavors within the company will include plans for entering the legal psychedelics space of magic mushroom supplements.
