Jessie Hernandez autopsy report released
The autopsy report for recently-slain 17-year-old Jessica “Jessie” Hernandez reveals the teen was shot three times … and none of the bullets appear to be from close range. This, according to many in the media, appears to contradict accounts from the police department on what happened that morning. As a member of the Denver media — with special considerations for the fact that this is in our own backyard — I’d like to take a little time fleshing out details before advancing the current rhetoric. I hope you understand why that’s important. This has got me rattled, too … but I want to be sure you’re properly served with responsible information before we launch our own report.
I have reached out to forensic experts and am trying to contact someone ‘in the know’ at the police department. I’ll take any good leads you’ve got, fellow members of the community.
