Grimes ‘Endlessly Proud’ of Elon Musk’s Transgender Daughter

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Grimes defended Vivian Wilson against her estranged father, Elon Musk.
Musk appeared as a guest on a podcast hosted by Jordan Peterson, a Canadian anti-trans commentator who once compared gender affirming care to “Nazi experiments.” The two sat down to publicly discuss Musk’s lacking relationship with his eldest daughter.
Vivian Wilson, the daughter in question, is now 20 years old. She estranged the 53-year-old billionaire in 2022 after catching attention from the public eye for pursing a legal name change and denouncing Elon as her father. Musk recently admitted to purchasing Twitter in 2022 for $44 billion due to rifts with Vivian over her alleged “communist” beliefs, associating her with a term he coined “the woke mind virus.” This is, of course, in reference to his own ongoing transphobic rhetoric.
In discussion with Peterson, Musk deadnamed and misgendered his daughter to falsely announce she was “dead, killed by the woke mind virus.” Musk described his daughter in her childhood as “born gay and slightly autistic.” He also alleged that Vivian was a fan of musicals and enjoyed exclaiming the word “fabulous!” when picking out jackets for him to wear at the age of four years old.
According to Wilson, she is “doing well.” The self-proclaimed “H-list celebrity” in a series of posts corrected her father against the allegations he made about her.
“The entire thing is completely made up,” Wilson posted to Threads. “[A]nd there’s a reason for this. He doesn’t know what I was like as a child because he quite simply wasn’t there, and in the little time that he was I was relentlessly harassed for my femininity and queerness.” Wilson continues, “Whatever you say. I’m legally recognized as a woman in the state of California….he’s desperate for attention and validation from an army of degenerate red-pilled incels and pick-mes who are quick to give it to him.”
Shortly after, Grimes (Claire Boucher)—former partner of Elon Musk and mother to three of his children—posted to X: “I love and am forever endlessly proud of Vivian.”
Not much is known about Grimes’ personal relationship with Vivian. However, this is not the first time the artist has spoken publicly in defense of transgender identities against her ex. In 2020, an exchange was held between them on what is now remembered (and often still referred to much to Musk’s chagrin) as Twitter when Elon tweeted out: “Pronouns suck.” To which Grimes’ long-memed reply was: “I love you but please turn off your phone or give me a [c]all. I cannot support hate. I know this isn’t your heart.”
Wilson reposted Grimes’ response to Musk to her Threads account with the simple caption of a heart emoji.
She also took to social media to talk about the ongoing custody battle between Boucher and Musk, wherein Grimes is suing Elon for custody of their three children: X Æ A-Xii (4), Exa Dark Sideræl (2), and Techno Mechanicus (2).
“What you don’t know, however, is that Elon has been keeping their children, her children, away from their mother during the most important developmental period in a child’s life,” Wilson writes.
Grimes’ post defending Vivian received numerous replies from self-proclaimed Christians claiming medical transition is “changing what God created” implying it is unholy to practice bodily autonomy in that manner. In response, Grimes replied: “God gave us hands to build cathedrals, rockets to the moon. It’s clearly divine to make use of gods greatest gift to humanity, which is creativity.”
