Photo Gallery: Denver PrideFest 2025 Kicks Off with Power, Joy, and Resilience
Organized by the incredible team at The Center on Colfax, this year’s Denver PrideFest kicked off with heat, literally and metaphorically. Thousands showed up early, sunscreened and hydrated, ready to celebrate identity, history, and the fight that got us here.
The vendor village was alive with everything from handmade crafts and radical zines to health resources and queer-owned businesses. Local food trucks brought the flavor, with crowd favorites slinging everything from loaded tots to fresh lemonade. The air was thick with sunblock, music, and something else harder to name: unity.
By midday, the main stage was burning brighter than the sun thanks to a lineup that included the legendary Detox and climate conscious drag queen icon Pattie Gonia. Each brought their signature blend of glam, grit, and activism, reminding the crowd that Pride has always been political and fabulous in equal measure.
And even as the pavement shimmered in the heat, the crowd kept growing. Families, teens, elders, allies, and lifelong activists stood side by side, cheering, dancing, and bearing witness to a legacy 50-plus years in the making. In every booth, every hug, and every glitter smeared smile was a reminder that Pride is both protest and party.
Denver Pride isn’t just about one weekend in June; it’s a celebration of queerness, survival, and radical love. It honors the roots of resistance from Stonewall to the present, and it amplifies every joyful shout from today’s LGBTQIA+ voices.
