Denver-based Comedian Andie Main Releases Rocky Mountain Bi
Denver-based comedian Andie Main released her sophomore album and queer opus Rocky Mountain Bi January 12 on Blonde Medicine.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Main’s brand of comedy captured audiences after she released her debut album Magpie in 2020. Her popularity soared in the Portland area, with her shows Revolution Comedy and The Cool Kids Patio Show gardening vast attention.
Main also has a heavy focus on fundraising and supporting local communities. Revolution Comedy organized fundraisers that helped fund Planned Parenthood, The ACLUS, and Don’t Shoot PDX. According to her biography on First Avenue, her efforts have contributed over $10,000 to #theresistance.
Moving to Colorado, Main’s comedy continues to tackle political issues, gender norms, sobriety, and, now, the Colorado granola habits that have altered her Portland ego with a special kind of irony and humor. Her new album Rocky Mountain Bi is self-described as:
“Andie Main moves to Colorado, gets some sunshine, and becomes an entirely new person by quitting drinking and going hiking with her sweet little puppy.”

Queer comedy is unfortunately niche. And the standard status-quo of a straight dude in sweatpants joking about his unfulfilled relationship often leaves a bit (or perhaps a lot) to be desired for the queer community. The Queer Denver comedy scene has seen growth in the last few years, and Main’s additional flare will be a welcomed addition to the community.
Relocating and recalibrating to Denver has encouraged the exploration of hiking, which specifically its way into her comedy. If you are in need of some self-aware irony and some hot takes on hitting the trails and Tinder, Main’s new comedy album may be the perfect remedy to the fight off the winter blues.
Her new album can be found on her Spotify and more information can be found on her Instagram.
