CSU Runner Comes Out Using #BeTrue on Running Spikes

This might be an old story, but is a “coming out” story ever really old? Not really.
Andrew Goodman, a 22-year-old Colorado State University long distance runner, had one message for his competitors and for himself during the 2014 NCAA Cross Country Championships in November: “#BeTrue.”
After writing the message on his running spike, he then posted a photo of it on social media before competing. And that was Goodman’s way of coming out of the closet.
