Christkindl Market Open for Business!

Working closely with the city and county of Denver as well as the Civic Center Conservancy for the past six months, the German American Chamber of Commerce – Colorado Chapter (GACC-CO) has taken bold and creative steps to accommodate social distancing and many other health guidelines in order to open Christkindl, Colorado’s only authentic, German holiday market from November 20 through December 23. 

The 20th Anniversary Denver Christkindl Market, presented by Miraflora Naturals, officially opened to the public on Friday, November 20 at its new spacious, open-air location along the center promenade of Civic Center Park.  While many were concerned the event would have to be put on hold this year, Christkindl was able to get creative and still hold a safe event. 

Experience the sights, sounds and smells of a traditional German Christmas Market in the heart of Downtown Denver. Amidst the soft, twinkling lights of the Market, the air fills with the scent of warm spiced wine (Glühwein), freshly baked pastries, cedar board smoked salmon, and other traditional German fare.  Find guests wandering through the village-like atmosphere of charming wooden huts filled with local and international artisans and enjoying the live entertainment. 

The hours of the Denver Christkindl Market are Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday through Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Thanksgiving Day from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and from December 16 to 23, the Market is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
