Biden-Harris Campaign to Host “Drag Your Ballot to the Box” Event to Engage LGBTQ Voters
The event will feature drag performances from Laura Menorah, Minor Misdemeanor, Brittany Blaze-Shearz, MascKara, and Daphne DeCoteau and provide information to voters about voting rights in Colorado and how to register and vote
Haven’t voted yet? As we reach the single digits until election day, Biden for President in Colorado is hosting virtual events with voters from across the state to provide information about voter registration, early voting, and encourage early participation. On Friday, October 30 at 6:00 p.m. MST, you can tune into a virtual, get-out-the-vote event hosted by the campaign, featuring performances from local drag performers, a special message from Reggie Greer, National LGBTQ+ Voter Director for Biden for President, and important information on voting deadlines and registration. Mail ballots were sent to registered voters in Colorado on October 9. With the deadline to return ballots by mail having passed, voters are encouraged to drop their ballots off at a drop box or vote in person by 7 p.m. on November 3. The event is the campaign’s latest effort to provide virtual programming that appeals to a diverse array of communities and meets voters where they are.
Last week, the Biden campaign in Colorado hosted a virtual roundtable discussion on LGBTQ+ health equity with a panel of doctors and public health experts to discuss impacts of COVID-19 on the LGBTQ community.
