Ale House at Amato’s serves up hand-crafted brews and creative favorites
Pat Miller, the Gabby Gourmet, hosts The Gabby Gourmet Restaurant…
Perhaps the best view from LoHi is at Ale House at Amatos, with a perfect craft brew in hand.
The upstairs outdoor lounge offers great sights by the fire pit as you sip one of their tasty local brews and gaze at the gorgeous views of Denver’s skyline.
Downstairs, the modern interior stays warm and welcoming with its large windows, wood accents and natural stone. It is a place that immediately beckons the public to come in and get comfortable.
The large horseshoe bar downstairs is a great focal point with more than 40 craft brews on tap and plenty of seats to watch a game, or engage in the lively crowd.
The dining room has great views as well and comfortable earth tones make dinner and conversation a pleasure. With a setting like this, the menu of American pub food is perfect for the scene.
Start with appetizers, perfect for sharing. Super calamari, artichoke-spinach dip, chicken wings and great meatballs served with divine bread start the list.
The “Ugly tomato mozzarella,” caesar and a terrific BLAT salad make a great second course.
Sandwiches tempt with chicken, apple brie, portobello, veggie and beef, all served with fries or salad.
A must is the mac and cheese, several pastas and of course, the burger selection. From buffalo and lamb, to beef with several toppings, these are a big hit.
Add entrees of brined half chicken, pork, lamb kabobs, fish and chips and sea bass and the decisions are difficult.
It’s impossible to pass up the decadent desserts of bread pudding, ricotta cheesecake and gelatos.
The beer and wine lists rock – both in choices and price.
Ale House at Amato’s is a big hit in LoHi.
