Alaska Releases New Single and Announces Tour Dates

Alaska

Star of stage, screen, and the hottest of sweaty nightclubs, RuPaul’s Drag Race favorite and All Stars 2 winner Alaska Thunderfuck has released her brand-new single, “Red,” the first track off her forthcoming full-length album, Red 4 Filth.

“Red is the color of blood, and the heart, and the color of love,” she says in a press release. “This song and this album are dedicated to the time when I first fell in love with music—around the turning of the century. We’re drawing upon the sounds and textures of the 90s and early 2000s with pop songs that are about love and friendship. I love the music, and I can’t wait to share it with you all.”

Alaska will also kick off a Red 4 Filth North American tour, her first-ever headlining touring production. Featuring high-fashion backup dancers and her signature brand of comedy, Alaska will perform the entire new album along with other fan favorites.

The tour begins January 19, 2022 in Orlando, with over 30 additional stops throughout the country and Canada. Visit Alaska’s official website to see a full list of dates and to purchase tickets.

Alaska

Although Alaska is one of the most powerful and iconic drag queens known today, her captivating story begins as a small-town kid raiding her grandmother’s closet. In an intimate tell-all book titled My Name’s Yours, What’s Alaska?, readers will receive an unfiltered look at Alaska’s life and meteoric rise to fame. From childhood struggles to life lessons learned, the drag superstar shares the challenges, life-changing discoveries, and victories that paved her path to superstardom.

“People have often asked me, ‘Alaska, if you were to ever write a book, what would it be about?’ The answer is simple—it would be about me, of course,” she says. “In this book, I plan to tell the T, the whole T, and nothing but the T—so help me Goddess. In telling my life story, from my birth until now, I hope to invite you into my world, to set the record straight, and to inspire the children of the world. Because if a poor, skinny, queer boy from Erie, Pennsylvania can grow up to be an extra-terrestrial starlet of stage and screen, then truly anus-thing is possible.”

Told with true Alaska charm and wit, My Name’s Yours, What’s Alaska? will be available November 9. In addition to being an entertaining memoir, the book is an honest, emotionally resonant, funny, and unapologetic celebration of queerness, self-expression, and authenticity.
