AL1CE Announces Spring Tour and Celebrates Image Comics Theme Song for “The Dead Lucky”

AL1CE Spring Tour coming to the East Coast

The makings of AL1CE date as far back as the early 2000s, when the first three members of the ensemble were creating music as Mankind Is Obsolete (MKIO). But while MKIO sought to rage against the machine, AL1CE is intent on breaking the matrix altogether.

This ultimately led to the recruitment of Sasha Travis (vocals, visuals), Carl Garcia (keys, synth, visuals), and Steve Kefalas (drums), who rounded out this eclectic group of artists. Each member of AL1CE brings their own special touch to the overall message and aesthetic of the group; not to mention most of the members of this up and coming super group came from other notable projects. Gordon Bash, who currently plays bass for AL1CE, came from ska punk band Save Ferris, while Scott Landes hails from Collide, a dark wave, industrial band from Los Angeles.

AL1CE incorporates an almost anomalous blend of electronic dance, dark wave, and rock music. The AL1CE experience is somewhat like taking a trip down that rabbit hole and finding yourself inside the matrix. To witness an AL1CE live show is to become fully immersed within a surrealistic theatrical production of light, sound, and plenty of nuance. Their musical influences span the range from Pink Floyd and Nine Inch Nails, to modern dark electronic alt-pop like Bjork.

“We didn’t have any specific genre or style or anything like that in mind. And we still don’t really… We actually spent a lot of time playing other music. We have all had our own projects… When we come back to AL1CE, this is our own project where we have the creative license to bring it all in,” says Scott.

Expressing a love for touring and performing live, the members recently announced the AL1CE spring tour. Starting with an AL1CE.TV exclusive live stream, the “Shadows And Light Tour” begins April 17. The band will then journey across the United States, with this being their first East Coast stint since 2019. Simultaneously, AL1CE is commemorating the release of their song “The Dead Lucky Theme Song,” which is the theme song for an upcoming Image Comics release called “The Dead Lucky” by Melissa Flores.

“We came across an amazing comic book writer who became a fan of ours named Melissa Flores. She writes for Image Comics, now, also Marvel… She was actually the one who hit us up and said, ‘Hey, I’m writing this comic book series… I was wondering if you would be interested in doing a theme song for it?’… How incredible is that? To get to write a song for a comic book series?” says lead singer Tash Cox.

To be a member of the Mad Hatter Army is to become accepted into a family of AL1CE fans worldwide who come from all walks of life, much a reflection of the diversity of the band itself. A strong mission to create a safe space for fans and creatives alike to be free to express themselves reverberates throughout the band.

“We’re all fellow dreamers. We do have very big dreams, all involving community building. We do envision things like AL1CE Studios, which would be hopefully a haven for up-and-coming artists that we could help provide support for. I love the idea of branching out internationally,” says Tash.

Get details on the upcoming AL1CE tour at the band’s website, and take a trip down the rabbit hole into an immersive feast for the senses. Members of the AL1CE Inner Circle receive VIP access to any show which includes a meet and greet with the band, Mad Hatter tea time, and other exclusive offers.
