Affordable Arts Festival Comes To Littleton on August 25th

The Affordable Arts Festival (AFF) returns to Colorado on August 25 at Arapahoe Community College (ACC). The AAF will host a variety of artists who will be selling their work at discounted prices. Since its start, the AAF has been committed to raising funds for the Arapahoe Community College Foundation, generating $290,000 across its run.

The Arapahoe Community College Foundation aims to support students by providing scholarships and opportunities such as assisting students with financial crises that interfere with their ability to attend school. They also award innovation grants that fund special educational projects and programs. Their goal is to support ACC students in any way possible to help further their education. In the past academic year, the foundation has awarded 1 million dollars worth of scholarships.

The AAF prides itself on featuring a diverse group of artists who create everything including photography, sculptures, glasswork, ceramic dinnerware, and metal jewelry. One hundred and sixty-five artists are bringing some of their best work at a price cap of $150, allowing guests to get pieces often valued in the thousands. This is a unique opportunity for art lovers to further their collections, and it is perfect for newcomers looking to get into the hobby or find something nice for their homes.

On top of the troves of art, the festival is a chance to experience a Colorado festival at an accessible price. About 30 minutes south of Denver, Littleton is known for its wine tastings and vibrant natural areas, making it a great destination for friends and family during the summer season.

Jim DeLutes, founder and director of the AAF, says, “This is artwork that would typically be sold for many times the amount the artists are asking for, and it’s an effective way for them to sell a lot of art in just a few hours, help aspiring students, and also connect many people to their artwork for the first time.”

Admission to the Affordable Arts Festival is only $12. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time on the AAF website.
