JUST WATCH: “Love Wins in All 50 States”

A few months back, same-sex marriage was legalized throughout the nation, and, naturally, we rejoiced. Here in Colorado, same-sex marriage was already legalized, but we all know the majority of our neighbors didn’t grow up here. People are flooding to our great state, and bringing with them their culture and colorful background. So on June 26, we celebrated as every gay brother and sister, no matter what backwards state they live in, finally gained marriage equality.

Filmmaker Yulin Kuang also felt the need to celebrate. Although it took a couple months, Yulin released his video “Love Wins in All 50 States” last week highlighting couples from all over the nation. In the description perfectly explains what the project meant to him.

June 26th, 2015 was the momentous day when the US Supreme Court made their ruling that same-sex marriage was legal in all 50 states. Yulin Kuang, a young passionate director, wanted to capture the love that was allowed to flourish after the ruling, and used Shakespeare’s beautiful Sonnet 116 beginning with “Let me not to the marriage of true minds admit impediments” to show 50 same-sex couples in 50 states winning at love in this sweet and heartwarming video. #LoveWins
