Panic at the Disco responds to Westboro Baptist Church
In a feat of religious fervour and creativity, the Westboro Baptist Church parodied Panic at the Disco hit “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” with the song “You Love Sin, What a Tragedy.”
The lyrics read, “What a shame they’re all fags pimps or whores.
Haven’t you people ever heard of obeying the word of god? No, you all rebel against the king of kings with a sense of pride and immorality.
You’re all insane, fags are profane.”
Classic. Insightful. Where is their record deal?!
Not only did WBC rip off one of Panic’s songs, but they planned to picket their show in Kansas City this past weekend, because, well… no one is too sure.
Well, Panic at the Disco has long been friends to the gay community, and the band came up with the perfect way to respond: throwing money at the Human Rights Campaign.
It seems like WBC may be losing support because only 13 picketers made an appearance (thank goodness for all those angels keeping them company)
