Mile High Hoedown
The International Association of Gay and Lesbian Country Western Dance Clubs held their 21st Annual Convention at the Marriott Denver City Center on May 22-25. The primary purpose of the IAGLCWDC is to promote country western dancing, activities and music to all persons without regard to age, sex, gender or gender identity, religion, national or cultural origin, sexual orientation, disability, or HIV status. The event, dubbed the “Mile High Hoedown” brought over 250 people to Denver for workshops, lessons, competitions and of course, plenty of dancing. A portion of the proceeds were donated to Rainbow Alley, the Colorado Anti-Violence Program and the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network.
