Meow Wolf’s Gone Fishing at the Texas Eclipse Festival

Meow Wolf has announced their Gone Fishing event at the Texas Eclipse Festival, a multi-day experience celebrating the total solar eclipse.

Held at the Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, Texas, the Texas Eclipse festival spans from April 5 to 9 and features over 300 performers and entertainers including musicians, scientists, visual artists, yogis, and mindfulness experts.

The 2024 solar eclipse will mark the last time for the next 20 years that we will experience a total solar eclipse.

Meow Wolf is no stranger to hosting festive events, and this will be another in a long line of intergalactic entertainment.

Over the course of the festival, Meow Wolf’s Gone Fishing event will boast a variety of entertainment including neo-burlesque performances, the opportunity to wish upon a fish, and a psychic catfish.

There will also be hands-on opportunities such as cyanotype paper crafting, shadow puppetry, and face painting. Guests curious about their futures will be able to participate in a tarot card reading.

Gone Fishing is described as “a tactile, fully immersive, performative art installation inspired by the simple joys of fishing trips and lakeside lounging.”

Food and refreshments will also be offered on site at the event from businesses such as Celestial Brewing, Niki’s Popcorn, and Hive Bakery.

On April 8, Meow Wolf will be hosting a Solar Eclipse Watch Party at The Real Unreal in Grapevine, Texas as part of the event programming.

The family-friendly Solar Eclipse Watch Party will include intergalactic activities and spacey treats. This event will run from 10:00am to 8:00 p.m.

There are opportunities for on-site camping at the Texas Eclipse Festival, as well as hotel packages and transportation passes.
