Meow Wolf Denver Announces New Cocktail Lounge Opening in the Fall

The Denver fixture Meow Wolf’s “Convergence Station” has attracted millions of people over the past several years. With its captivating blend of sci-fi storytelling and avant-garde visual art, the interactive exhibit seems to be continuing its ascent into cosmopolitan ubiquity. Denver’s location is excited to announce a new addition to the atmosphere: a cocktail bar. Wittily titled Sips (with a Z), the lounge is set to feature an aesthetic described as “high class meets street.”

In addition to the groovy, space-age aesthetic, Sips (with a Z) will offer handcrafted cocktails and snacks. Additionally, the lounge will be available for rental for private events. The Meow Wolf press release mentions that Sips (with a Z) will bridge “the gap between quantum travel and supreme Earther comfort!” Sips (with a Z) will have an area of 3262 square feet and will open around the “Convergiversary,” or the second anniversary of Denver’s Meow Wolf “Convergence Station.”

Meow Wolf started as an art collective in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2008. Thereafter, in 2021, Las Vegas became home to the new recreation of “Omega Mart.” “Omega Mart” was the original apocryphal grocery store exhibit in Santa Fe, created by students. The Vegas “Omega Mart” is located in the iconic Area15 district. September 2021 saw the opening of Denver’s own “Convergence Station,” which features an inter-dimensional theme with psychedelic-inspired art fixtures. More recently, Meow Wolf opened an exhibit in Grapevine, Texas entitled “The Real Unreal.” This exhibition, which opened on July 14, revolves around the story of a blended family experiencing a crisis. “The Real Unreal” features realistic houses with highly detailed rooms.

While all of the Meow Wolf locations have become urban fixtures of accessible, immersive art, Denver’s “Convergence Station” is the first to open a cocktail lounge. This is world-building at its most maximalist, and we cannot wait to see Sips (with a Z) for ourselves!

As of now, Sips (with a Z) does not have an exact launch date, but it is likely to open by the end of September.
