LATV Premieres ‘Living y Ready,’ Series About Living with HIV

Living y ready

Latino Alternative Television (LATV) just launched a new digital series, Living y Ready, as part of the channel’s LGBTQ educational programing focusing on people living with HIV

The new show follows the huge success of the online series My Health Agenda, which focuses on LGBTQ community health.

Living y Ready was created to have conversations about HIV, and it has the same goal as My Health Agenda: to create safe spaces for the LGBTQ community where they can be open, honest, and have no fear of judgment and rejection.

The show’s format features informative segments, round table conversations, and more, with conversations with HIV experts such as Ray Fernandez and Natalie Sanchez, alongside different guests like Jennifer Rodriguez and Miranda Ramirez, HIV+ influencers and activists who will talk about their personal experiences.

LATV premieres the first episode of five total tonight, April 13, and the program will continue airing on Wednesdays every two weeks. Every episode will end with a short documentary narrative following a day in the life of someone living with HIV, and each episode will focus on a different aspect of HIV, such as dealing with HIV diagnosis and allyship with the Poz community.

“We created Living y Ready to update the narrative around HIV in the media because the conversation today needs to be about living with HIV, not just tragedy and loss. The people living with HIV featured on the series are talented, ambitious about their future, and making a difference in the world,” Creator and Director Andres Palencia says in a press release.

“I have a deep admiration and respect for them, and I know a lot of our audience will see hope for themselves by getting to know the cast of Living y Ready,” Palencia continues.

Living y Ready is available on all TV digital platforms, and it will run through Pride Month. The last special episode will air on June 22.
