I-25 closures to occur throughout the weekend

The I-25 Gap Lane Project will close I-25 for two spans of time over the weekend. The first will last eight hours and the second is projected to last 31 hours.

The goal of this project is to improve traffic by creating a fourth lane along northbound Interstate 25 between Santa Fe Drive and the U.S. 6 interchange. The downside being the large amount of traffic sure to be generated this weekend.

The closures are scheduled for 10pm on Friday – 8am Saturday followed by Saturday’s 10pm closure with a 5am Monday opening.

Detours will be set up by the Colorado Department of Transportation, but Denver residents have been advised to avoid I-25 routes all weekend.
