Is America Ready for Healthcare Reform?

Our country has been engaged in a vital conversation on healthcare for the past few months. Even though this debate is not new, it is one in which the African-American community has a lot at stake. Studies show that one in five African-Americans do not have healthcare insurance, and those who have insurance, spend a higher percentage of their income on healthcare costs than their white counterparts. Is this fair? Of course not.
